Phil spent thirty years as a fighter pilot and Royal Marines Commando Officer, flying Sea Harriers and F/A-18Es before leading the Royal Navy's future aviation programme and F-35B integration. He brings the kind of aeronautical engineering depth and operational experience that only comes from having flown, maintained, and programmed the aircraft himself.
At PULSHN, Phil leads the technical architecture of WHIPPET and the broader platform family. He designs for the conditions he knows firsthand: degraded environments, time-critical missions, and the unforgiving margin for error that comes with both.
Our founding team has worked at the highest levels of international defence and aerospace, managing national capability programmes, integrating AI and maritime autonomy systems, and contributing to the development of advanced combat aircraft.
